It involves in local and international business activities in the fields of fish export industry, ice manufacturer, tile industry, hotel industry and packaging industry. It manufactures polythene and polystyrene products to local and international market under packaging industry. Lihini Packaging Innovation is a polystyrene product manufacture. This is now one of the reputed polystyrene products manufacturing company in Sri Lanka with around 50 employees. Although it market products in Sri Lanka it is aiming to touch the international market
- Lihini Shrimp Exports, located at st. Jude Mawatha, Katuneriya, Sri Lanka, applies FSSC 22000 version 5 management system basically to manufacturing process of direct and indirect food contact packaging. That is polystyrene boxes and sheets supplied to fish, fruit and vegetable industries. Apart from this FSSC 22000 effectively applied to ornament pillars supplied to confectionary industry. Processing steps covered are importing resin beads, storage, bead pre expansion with the help of steam and air, aging in silos, molding, finishing, storage and dispatching finished goods. Steam and cooling water use for molding process, and air is use for agitating beads during expansion stage
